Tarver landed one lucky punch against an already faded Roy Jones Jr.What people dont mention is the other 13 rounds those two fought,in which RJ won the majority of them.Glen Johnson arguably won 6 out of 8 Rounds before putting RJ away in the 9th.Everytime a Superstar figher gets KTFO by a so called "Journeyman",its always because the superstar fighter was already gone to begin with, which automaticly discredits the so called "Journeyman".

Toney said it best, "Johnson pressured Roy the whole fight. I've always said pressure is the key to beating Roy. Glen never stopped until he ripped Roy's heart out."

    Glen by easy UD.

I'm thinking this fight is a mismatch. I dont think Johnson is in the same league as Tarver. It would be tight if Johnson won but I dont see it happening. Tarver by KO in 4.

Tarver has lost only twice: to Eric Harding, by UD, when he was floored in the 11th in year 2000 in Biloxi, MS and to Roy Jones, Jr., in a fight that many say, Tarver lost instead of Roy having won.

Tarver has avenged both losses. Decisively. He TKOd Harding in the 5th round in their return match held at the Canseco Field House in Indy some two years after their first meeting. And of course, he gave Roy the latter's first ever KO when they met a second time.

Much has been said about Johnson having often been robbed in fights against such foes as Syd Vanderpool, Sven Otke, Omar Sheika, Julio Cesar Gonzalez, Daniel Judah (who was quoted in a post-fight interview as having said, "I thought I lost!" It was a draw.)... But then, none of those guys are Tarver!

Glen, it must be noted, won against Eric Harding-- one of only two guys who beat Tarver-- by UD(12) in a fight held at Jimmy's Bronx Cafe' in NY.

Tarver is a southpaw. And there was a truism that used to be observed closely by handlers of champs: "Never allow your orthodox fighter to face a lefty, unless you have to."

I'll take Tarver. I've plunked 30,000 points for him. Hope I won't be having crow for snacks on Saturday night!

Harding wasn't even a powerpuncher and was still able to floor Tarver and break his jaw in the process. This was a #1 contender match and Tarver didn't even fight like he wanted it.Thats why I believe Tarvers heart is a big question mark. When things get tough against Johnson on Saturday night,we'l see if he truly is in a League above the rest.
