Joey Hernandez calls Angel "Toro" Hernandez "A Human Punching Bag"
Joey 'Twinkle Fingers" Hernandez (17-1, 10 KO's) is young, flashy and very vocal, so it was no surprised when the Miami resident went on social media networks calling his scheduled opponent Chicago's Angel "Toro" Hernandez "washed up" & "A human punching bag". Joey "Twinkle Fingers" Hernandez and Angel "Toro" Hernandez (30-9 17KO's) will face off for the USBO Intercontinental Jr. Middleweight Title on March 25th 2011; Cynthia Tolaymat's of CFC Promotions LLC promotes the event.
When "Toro" was contacted and asked for his thoughts on Joey Hernandez comments, he just laughed it off saying "Remember when another prospect faced me " Angel was referring to Buddy McGirt Jr who was another fast rising prospect who also called Florida his home, going into the fight many felt McGirt Jr will defeat the Chicago iconic ring warrior. Instead Toro walked away the winner of that bout; that victory sent him on a course to face Peter Manfredo Jr for the I.B.O. world middleweight title. "Toro" came up short during his quest for a world title and lost his next outing against Osumanu Adama.
After back to back losses "Toro" Hernandez felt he needed to drop down a division and fight people his actually size, well now he finds himself facing Joey Hernandez for what can be the last hoorah for the Iconic Mexican ring warrior. Will history repeat itself by Angel "Toro" Hernandez defeating another fast rising prospect or will "Twinkle Fingers" Hernandez show the world he is ready to be considered a world class fighter ?
