Yeah, especially in the past, it wasn't so much confidence but arrogance though it seemed false looking & put on with Calzaghe at first it was if he was trying to play the part instead of being natural but I think he has actually grown into an arrogant tool.

I've had enough of Calzaghe, he has trash talked all the great British fighters such as Eubank, Benn, Naz, Lennox Lewis, and now Ricky. This is a ****ing joke. He called Eubank a fraud and claims that Eubank was at his best against him!! WTF?? He claims that Benn wouldn't of landed a flush shot on him and that he'd of broken Benn's glass jaw ("what did Benn ever do before the McClellan fight apart from lose to Watson and Eubank?" asked Calzaghe), he said that Barrera was the first world-class fighter that Naz ever fought and that Naz lost every round (neither statement is true), and said about Lennox Lewis following his loss to Rahman "he doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as me, I'd never lose like that, he should stick to chess". I have had enough of Calzaghe, YOU don't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Eubank or Benn you ****ing sheep-shagging half-Italian boring wanker.

IronOne you are probably the most objective fan from Brit on this forum. Some of Calphonies fan base here have his scrotum so much in front of them that they can't be objective. He is a champ for a while so he derserves some respect, but taking jabs at Hatton for doing something he hasn't is just being hater.

Calzaghe's never beaten a world champion in his life, and never will now. It's been 12 years since he turned pro so he's way way past his best. He's a waster, and his attitude stinks. He's just full of **** and always has been.

I used to like Joe, I remember him winning ABA titles and he was so ****y dropping his gloves and tapping opponents on the head and stuff, and dazzling dancing and ****, and then he turned pro and looked the part - looked like the real deal. I got behind him, I watched him in the flesh a few times on the undercard of my sparring partner Glenn Catley just before he fought Eubank. But his trash talking has got beyond a joke now, and he STILL hasn't fought a world champion yet, and he STILL hasn't had a performance as good as his one against a severely weight-drained, over-the-hill, totally unprepared Eubank. Joke Calzaghe.

Calzaghe was mainly a welterweight in the amateurs before moving upto light-middleweight and middleweight in 92 and 93. Hatton had a couple of matches at welterweight but fought almost exclusively as a lightweight in the amateurs (his idol was Duran).
