Green k for anyone that kills Bob Arum!
At least you don't have to be in GBP in order to fight their fighters

Mosely has some shares from GBP, but apparently someone from GBP said he can take his cheque which was only worth a few thousand LOL.
If Shane is a share holder, then he only gets paid the dividends, which is the profit. He doesn't get paid a salary like a CEO. If you know business and shares, then you may have understood.
Mosely won't get any money off fights that are made from GBP until the end of the business year.
Mosely and JMM did get paid fighting of course, but clearly something is wrong for Barerra, Mosely, and JMM to leave as fighters. Heck I am sure more will leave, but then that is with all promoters too.
Whether he is worthy of a Pac shot or not, is not what I am talking about, but for the record, I preferred Berto.
As for being a free agent, anyone can own part of a company, and own part of another. Anyone can be a fighter, and own a company. So Mosely being a free agent just means his contract ran out and he can go anywhere.
Fighters have either a time line in their contract or a number of fight deals.
Again I might not be a business expert but 2 men who weren't even being considered for it even though both deserved to be, are now top runners for a shot at Pacquiao, I have to ask what has changed?
The answer is obvious.Comment

So Your impying that Mosley, although being part owner of the complany, wasn't being represented well by his own company? I doubt that highly. You think GBP wouldn't have wanted a piece of Mosley/Pac? of course, plus Mosley would have come out winning even more if it was co-produced by GBP no matter how you slice it.

You seem not to understand what a Share holder is. I can own some shares of a company but it doesn't mean I get to make changes just like that. It depends on how much you own.
With GBP in there, I believe they would have taken a share of the revenue generated. Probably more than what Arum gets as the sole promoter.
Yes Top Rank is the main reason, but then that means it is also a possibility of bad business from GBP also.
You don't leave your own company if you're happy/Comment

Yeah, and it's just chance that he chose the free agent over the fighters signed to GBP.
Look I understand completely you argument about Mosley, and sure it's possible that Mosley wasn't happy about what GBP wanted or didn't want to do for him as a fighter.
But the fact that less then 2 weeks after Marquez decides to cancel his fight with Morales and let his contract expire, he's suddenly now the front runner for Pacquiao's next opponent. This is more then coincidence, at least in my opinion.
What I see it 2 fighter that are looking for a big payday before they retire, and since both have already lost and gotten paid against Mayweather, where else is there to turn. I just don't see it neccessary to walk away from their promotional company to do it. & I wouldn't be surprised if both returned to GBP after they get their shot at Pac if they do fight again.Last edited by AllEyesOpen; 02-18-2011, 02:22 PM.Comment

Mosley vs Pacquiao???
Cotto vs Mayorga???
Mayorga??? Mosley???
Who are they? Why don't they fight each other? Arum is not only making in-house fights, he's making predictable match ups.Comment

They want to confuse us. Arum said that, then Pacquiao turns around and says he doesn't pick his fighters. So what is it? Did he picked a fighter of those 3, or did Arum pick one of those fighters for him?
Oh let's go with the only one of those 3 who is in the list of Top Rank fighters in their webpage.Comment
