BoxingScene.com received a call from promoter Lou DiBella, who wanted to respond to our recent story, where Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum took a few verbal shots at the nearly finalized welterweight fight between WBC champion Andre Berto and junior welterweight contender Victor Ortiz. The Berto-Ortiz encounter takes place on April 16, and HBO will televise the fight as a split-site co-feature to Amir Khan's scheduled clash against Paul McCloskey in Manchester.

thats why i prefer for official weigh ins to happen nite of the fight...which would make the fight much more even. no more crying about having to lose weight, etc...their fight nite weight should be the official weigh in weight, like back in the days

                He straight killed him Arum

Anyway, Berto weighed 160 against Collazo, but I do get where DiBella is going, he's pretty much implying that there isn't a size disparity. He's right though, it's a pretty good match up and one we dont have to pay for

Arum's the last person that should be talking about how credible any match up is, I swear man, the guy has no shame!!!

Berto-Ortiz is better then Cotto-Mayorga which will be on PPV. And Arum still has the balls to trash a good fight when he has a garbage fight on PPV.
