who here has actually seen Montiel's fights from back then? I feel theres just a lot of speculation going on right now. Age is NOT any way to determin a fighters prime(at least not alone).

now, I never got the impression that Montiel was a fighter that has been going downhill the last few years....if anything he seems to have gotten better. so that kind of points to him not being prime against Too Sharp. but without having seen Montiel at fights that early in his career, I dont think its fair to actually say that.

age and how pretty your record is is not a way to judge if a guy is prime or not.

not so sure about that. someone like Benitez was prime at about 23, but meanwhile someone like Bernard Hopkins wasnt prime until he was about 32.
