The nerve of this old man. I'm not gonna wish death on him. But I wish fighters would stop signing with him he's so annoying. Acting like he's putting on fights we wanna see. Berto needs to fight someone at his own weight? Well Pac needs to stop fighting at catchweights and stop fighting guys who are one fight away from retirement.

          True

Really????! Even though i hater Berto ***** ass for ducking and fighting 140's to make a record, and not fighting true welterweight champs or higher.Bob Arum should leave the criticizing to the fans because Picking MOSLEY NEXT FOR Manny wasnt the brightest fight or way to prove Manny is THE BEST (even though I do think he is #1 pfp) Id be placing Manny with high end conteneders to prove the best and have quality fights. But really really you cant ***** saying why he didnt pick Berto vs Manny. COME ON! Berto's resume is not impressive and how the hell from that Hernandez (unknown boxer) fight could he land a superfight with Manny? That be ****** as **** and not fair to boxing to give him a shot when he hasnt really wooed anyone here... Berto was agreeing to the fight because he didnt care if he lost cuz he would get a couple mill off a assbeat and he knows these bull**** fights he's landing dont pay close to that amount. Styles make fights Mosley said, its tru and thats why Marquez wouldve been more exciting. But oh well.

Ortiz has been talking about moving up in weight for a while now. He was a to big for Jr welterweight and 147 will probably be his natural weight. Berto isn't fighting outside of his weight. Ortiz just won't be weight drained for once.

This is a good fight F*** Arum

well... arum does have a pretty convincing argument even though he's clearly just doing his job by promoting jones/karass.

berto needs to stop feasting on jr WWs... espeically jr WWs coming off a draw... I mean if you're gonna cherry pick fighters from 140 lbs, atleast pick the best fighters in the division.

berto needs to fight WWs... if he wants to fight jr WWs he should fight at 140 lbs.

i believe arum is looking for jones and berto to clash and for the result to eliminate one of them from the picture

this is one of the last fights i expected

i dont believe lou dibella's going to make berto into a star by investing in him
if he cant get big paydays fighting bums like hernandez anymore he's going to have to fight somebody.

they've got to try and get the kid some exposure.

look at what top rank has done with mosley
                  he is everywhere these days.

did goldenboy have him traveling all over the country and making noise?
                  nope.

goldenboy (according to arum) would squabble over who would pay for the dj, and subsequently go for a lower tier of dj if it was going to be coming from their pockets
going cheap on a dj isnt going to ruin an event or fighter

going cheap on the promotion of one of your best fighters might.

ortiz clearly isnt what goldenboy had been banking on
and berto's the millionaire who cant sell 1000 tickets

arum would have brought both guys up differently

wow..mannys fought clottey coming off of a loss

margo-coming off of a year suspension and a brutal ko

now mosley coming off of a lopsided loss and a draw

                    damn you're biased

I agree that its a bad fight in terms of Berto being a WW champion and top ranked fighter in the division and once again he is fighting a junior welter. But Ortiz, is pretty good, and if Berto wants to ensure a win he would need to be aggressive = good fight
And same goes for Ortiz, and for him its a huge opportunity, he needs to come out hard out box him and keep a high pace and be aggressive.
Don't get me wrong it does have that opportunity to be a crap fight but it has some potential in terms of excitement.
