The heavyweight division needs matchups like this, but they too rarely happen.
1st of all there is a big reason of getting KTFO for Mr.Haye. So why risk? He can keep milking his belt by fighting with guys, from his own bum club.

2ndly, pretty risky fight to end his career, once again he might lose.

I think he will eventually fight either Klit, get his piece of cake and roll to the Hollywood.

However, if they fight. I call Haye by SD or a KO by Povetkin if he catches him.

If the fight happens, Haye works him and stops him.

      Povetkin is shit.

Haye has never been in a ring with a decent HW like Povetkin.

        Povetkin by late stoppage guys.

The journey ends here for Haye.

First of all I haven't seen but a couple or three fights by either guy.

That said, from what I've seen, Povetkin has a pretty good shot at taking it by dec or maybe even late stoppage. IMO, he is fundamentally the better boxer and that will overcome Haye's speed advantage. He'll lose the first few rounds, but if he fights w/discipline and determination, Haye'll start to fade and Povetkin takes over mid fight to the end.

            Povetkin by reasonably close UD

Neither Haye nor Povetkin has fought a live opponent for a long time. Povetkin's last was Jason Estrada.

I voted "difficult to predict", because so far Haye's fights at heavyweight ARE MEANINGLESS or INCONCLUSIVE.

                • 12 punches output per round against Valuev.
                • On his butt against Barrett, whom Klitschko KOed some 9 years before Haye
                • Needed 9 rounds of rabbit punching against John Ruiz while being sometimes tagged at will by Ruiz
                • Fraudley Embarrisson
                • Haye claimed he broke his hand against Valuev
                • Haye claimed he couldn't train properly before Ruiz
                • Haye claimed he broke his back before Wlad Klitschko

That's way too bad and/or too inconclusive. Haye so far does not deliver a full picture.

This is a really good fight, I can't call it. I'm excited about it. It's definitely one of the best fights that can be made in the HW division not including a Klitschko.

This fight will prove a lot.

If Povetkin had a different trainer than Teddy Atlas, I'd give him a 50-50 chance of winning.

But we know what happens to fighters after working with Teddy:

Povetkin didn't look confident in his fight with Firtha, he seemed rather hesitant and not as fluid in his attack as he used to be. Was the story of a hand injury true, or was it an excuse for a mediocre performance?

Povetkin isn't physically shot, he's close to his physical prime. But he reminded me of poor Michael Grant during his fight with Dominick Guinn: lacking confidence, confused about what to do next, thinking too much, doubting himself.

I'm fairly certain Haye will win by KO, but since Povetkin seems to have a good chin, it will probably take Haye a few hard shots before he ends it in rounds 4 to 6.

So you rate Povetkin FAR LOWER than John Ruiz?
