I use to love watching Too Sharp fight when he was at his best and even a little afterwards. I think he was one of the most COMPLETE fighter of the last 20-30 years, he could do it all and do it all at least GOOD and hopefully they'll realize it and give him his HOF spot next year.

What do you think of his fights with Rafael Marquez? Was he past his best or was it just that Marquez was the better fighter overall?

I'd say Montiel is prime right about now, so its safe to say that when Johnson beat him he was pretty green.

Nevertheless, Johnson was a damn good scrapper who knew how to defend but unlike some OTHER overly defensive ****'s, knew how to fight as well. I agree with him being a hof'amer which gives you an idea of how good of a bantamweight Rafa was when he bombed Johnson out 2x.
          he beat a prime Montiel.....

          it's true.

He won the first by a splitD. He was coming to the end then. Very good lefty.

One of the best Flyweight of our time.. Its weird that had he stayed 6 more months at flyweight, he would have fought a young Pacquiao.. When Too Sharp went up in weight, Pacquiao was preparing for his fight against Sasakul for his first World Title, thus that fight was judged for the best flyweight. It wouldnt be that case had he stayed in the weight a little longer.
