Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr vs Medina in Play For March 19 in Mexico

Before he takes a fight with Sebastion Zbik (30-0, 10KOs) in May, BoxingScene.com was informed that Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (42-0, 30KOs) will take another tuneup on March 19 against David Medina (22-2, 10KOs). The fight will happen in Mexico. Chavez is the mandatory challeger to Zbik's WBC middleweight title. Zbik became the full champion after Sergio Martinez vacated the title to move forward with a scheduled March fight against unbeaten Sergei Dzinzurik.

Chavez Jr..... give it up already.... by the time he's ready to challenge for a title, he'll be like 99-0-17.

Wow you guys are clueless hahah, he's not fighting Michael Medina, he's fighting David Medina, also he and Saul Roman are very good friends so they will never fight, Roman has always been Julito sparring partner for all of his career, they train at the same gym in Culiacan.

And the stopagge that Roman got versus "Michael" Medina was a very bad one, Medina knocked Roman in the same round so he was very competitive, they are working on a rematch.

Incorret, he will be 43-0-1 (31 KO's) when fights for the Title, since he will be fighting Zbik in May

I bet he pulls out again, pretending to be sick when a real challenge comes around. Its upsetting to the fan that he continues to fight tune up, just like Berto!!
