    Combination Punchers, a dying breed??

The only fighters today who throw combos with bad intentions and great fluidity are Pac, Marquez, Gamboa and Juanma lopez, (maybe throw in Froch). And I think it's no coincidence that those 5 are very exciting fighters.

There are guys like Andre dirrell, Caballero, Pwill, Alexander who throw combos but with really no conviction behind their punches and just punches to pile on points.

I also notice a scary trend of fighters who use Bhop's style of " Punch and clinch ". Ward, Berto, to some extent Bradley.

Any other combination puncher active today?

Abner Mares was a combination puncher when he was with nacho beristain, his last fight though he didn't show it anymore.

Humberto Soto can throw some pretty wicked combos.

There are a number of elite combination punchers around today, I'm sure there are up and comers throwing pretty combos. Don't worry about that. Smash n' grab is starting to pick up popularity but that's because it works. It's not much fun to watch but Hatton and Hopkins showed that it can work pretty well on a high level, B-Hop much higher than Hatton of course.

It's not dying breed, but rather very rare breed as always has been. I also don't like ''Hopkins style " fighting.

I think Donaire also can throw some combinations fluidly. He can adjust combinations according to openings in the opponent.

Mares, Rios, Donaire, Malignaggi (no power but throws combos). I dont guess youre knocking Bhop but thats what it takes to fight til youre 46. We do tend to forget about the other half of boxing which is dodging punches.

IMO there are fighters who throw them with fluidity that's just seems natural to them if that makes sense. Donaire can throw wicked combos here and there but his mainly a one punch counter puncher who can put your lights out.

I see the beauty in his style because I dont expect him to brawl. Its funny to me how a boxer who is better than him in just about every phase power, speed, footwork be frustrated and nullified for twelve rounds. Its amazing to me everytime.
