Everything I stated is based on the premise that Shane does not do these things, and if he is to win, he needs to do these things. At some point, any point in your life or career, you have to adjust to get the desired results. The approach to boxing Richardson trains Shane will be ineffective against Pacquiao- therefore Shane needs a STYLE OVERHAUL.
Yes. I did see Style Overhaul. I took the time to point out what Shane no longer does, or was never good at doing in the 1st place, to illustrate the point that not only is a style overhaul completely out of the question. At this point in Shane's career it is virtually impossible. ****m had a plan B and C for Floyd which included a complete switch in style. Shane could not incorperate that into his program while in the ring. Why?????? Because he is too far along in his career using the same style(albiet a more deteriorated version of it)for the past 20 plus years.

Besides Shane has already stated that he believes that he will be victorious because of the current style that he operates with.

So no offence taken(And hope that I did not offend you as well), I saw where you were going, and do agree that to beat Manny you need to be able to incorperate some of the stratagies you mentioned into your arsenal. But Shane is not that type of fighter, never has been. And never will be.

At 135 you could call him that but that is a lifetime ago. It is always funny despite being around forever and being in many big fights people seem to have no clue about him as a fighter.

      Shane Mosley the intelligent boxer~

Shane Mosley the malicious knock out artist~

Shane Mosley with the great jab~

margacheato was a walking zombie, that itself will put pacs timing behind

          for a round or two..

its like hitting batting practice for 6 months then first game your facing

roger clemens...he will have to make an adjustment

shane can not chase or run or waste energy. he needs to be smart with short

sharp punches, 1-4 at a time and change the speed and pop on them..

he really needs hopkins in his camp to teach him how to fight as an aged

fighter. if shane tries to out react, out counter and out speed pacman he

will get killed. he needs to be smart and conservative and look to just land

good hard sharp punches and hope to catch pac.....no way he can out work him
          good post !!!!!!!!!

shane has never been ko'd in his entire career. while manny has. shane by late round stoppage. manny takes too many clean punches and i dont expect him to become a defensive wiz overnight. manny keeps talking about floyd, its a big mistake to look past shane.

IMO shanes slugger style is perfect for manny. manny is there to be hit and shane will hit him. this could be over quick like naz said. i think manny is the one who has to adjust. jmm wobbled him and floored him and shane hits much harder than jmm. shane has the foot and hand speed to keep up with manny. and manny's defense is pourous enough to make this fight ripe for the upset.

I mean of Fans on BoxingScene.com, thats gonna be stopping by my barbecue stand, the one where I'll be handing out FREE BARBEQUE , as in "Barbeque CROW" (Squawk! squawk! squawk!), to all the "experts" on this site. To all you ridiculous "sheeple", who dont really get boxing and thee factor of how "Styles make Fights". If Mosley comes to Party, i mean really comes in tip top conditioning, his mental outlook will already be outstanding, since there wont be any "**** talking going on", to frustrate and take away from his Overall mental preparation for this fight. YOU goobers!! seem to not factor in Mosley's exp in the Game, I think Mosley has great timing, anyone who can catch the super Fast Reflex man called "Mayweather", with a Bomb in the 2nd round of a very early fight, we're neither fighter is fatigued yet, must have great "anticipation and timing". Mosley is a great counter puncher and fights Southpaws well(pacman is southpaw) he wont have to chase pacman much,./...look! Pacman has never faced a live welterweight with speed, power, size adv, and exp adv, minus the age, which to me just evens out the fight. Do ANY OF YOU ******* Minions ever remember Pacman and Roach wanting to tangle with the "Sugar Man" as early as 2-3 yrs ago? hmmmm? ..silence, thats what i here now, SILENCE. ...why not you ask? cause they have always known how styles make fights, and mosleys style is problems, big problems for a "small, short arms, short height, southpaw, who is extremly agressive". I dont think pacman can take the power shots of mosley, i think the power and timing of mosley will over come the "work rate of pacman", Pacman is gonna "HAVE TOO" TAKE SOME TO LAND SOME, its that simple, and he aint gonna be able take longer than Mosley if he's in proper conditioning, and thats pretty much mental when it comes to Mosley, if you know the fighter, and have followed his career. This will be his best performance. remember ......Barbeque crow for all, when this ones over!
mananimal, i agree with you 100% we both state the same thing. i have shane by late round stoppage. i remember roach turned shane down twice and told him he was "too good". but we all know pacs style walks right into a shane right cross left hook combo that ends the fight. i dont think pac has faced anyone with shanes hand speed and power. cotto took it to pac for the first few rounds then pac took over. but this is no rocky movie, if pac is punched on by shane there will be no late round heroics by pac. if pac sluggs it out with shane its lights out for pac.
