Because there was a big fight~ it is not like Manny was just there with throngs of media following him for no other reason than being there. It could have been any big fight involving GBP and the same thing would have happened.
The boxing media likes to cover fights you know~

Seems like you really want to believe that to me and are trying to convince yourself~ like anyone else that says that type of thing.Comment

To me if it was driving Floyd crazy he would do something uncharacteristic like take a fight with Martinez which really doesn't make a lot of sense.
Floyd is just acting as Floyd does, so I really don't see the issue other than the same old stuff that he is annoying, not clever and goes on about issues for way to long.Comment

Floyd came up in the era of Tito and Oscar. You think he's worried about someone getting attention? Especially when that someone can't go 30 seconds without your name being brought up? I'm about to do some research and see if during the lead up to Floyd and Shane did Dan Rafael dedicate a tagline to his mailbag to Pac. I'm willing to bet he didn't. Pac and Shane just had official appearances for their fight, Pac got invited to the White House, Arum just conducted a major move with moving the fight to Showtime and it's affiliates.....and yet Mayweather's name is the tagline for his mailbag. Love him or hate him, you still gotta buy a ticket. So while Pac smiles and shakes hands on a historic day with the President, what Floyd decided to "right click" and copy is occupying the majority of fans minds.Comment

He was whoring off Pacs popularity, plain and simple
You're talking like the media wouldnt care if he announce it any other day,
"because the media was already there"
