This is just a cruel matchup. I hope Morales is okay after this one because Maidana is a ruthless beast. Talk about getting thrown to the wolves during a comeback.

I wish Erik the best as he's an all time favorite, but I don't like the prospects of this for him.

i dont think beristain will change maidana much. you can't change his style, but hopefully he can tighten up his technique and refine him a little more. so many times in that 10th round i was wishing he would take a step back to get more leverage on his punches. he'll never be a technician, but he might be able to add some different punches or combinations to his arsenal. im excited to see what this will do for maidana. the guy is only 27, he still has alot to learn and hes young enough to be able to learn it.
