The only problem with that is that Floyd fought an infinitely better version of ODLH, a better version of Hatton and now a better version of Mosley.

Pac fought a better version of JMM though at a better weight for him....Floyd made up for this by embarrassing JMM , whilst MP could not beat him convincingly in two tries.

I agree Mayweather beat a 5 times better version of ODLH...

But i dont agree he beat a better ricky hatton....Hattons style is made for pacquiao..... Mayweather wasnt hurting Hatton for the first few rounds, thats why hatton still managed to win a few rounds....Pacquiao was hurting hatton from the first few punches he landed....

And I dont see how shane is gonna be much different from when he faught mayweather, to fighting pacquiao now.....If anything he was overtrained for the mayweather fight...

And yes, JMM was 5 x less the fighter he was when pacquiao faught him...

So its kinda 50/50....Although i gotta give pac the edge...only cos he was still a smaller fighter coming up, when mayweather was a welterweight for a much longer time(bar the ODLH fight)

Pacquiao did not face a better Hatton. Responses like that is why I assume the majority of people on this board never played a sport in their life. Ignoring the fact that with time it actually becomes more difficult to make your original weight. Confidence is a huge factor in performance, in any sport.

Going into the Mayweather fight he was unbeaten, he'd essentially have the belief that he could not lose. Going into the Pacquiao fight he had people claiming he was shot the the knowledge that he had been beaten.

I don't care if Pacquiao KOs Mosley in the first round, I will not see it as a more impressive victory than Mayweather domination over Mosley because the guy is not a factor. He got beaten 11 rounds to 1 and drew against a bum.

pac plays around too much. he'll try and see if he can take mosley's punches early. if he can, he'll brawl a little. if he can't, he'll box.

later in the fight when mosley is gassed, pac will be a little reckless. what can you say, he's an offensive punching machine.
