Comments Thread For: John Murray's Message To Mitchell: “Put Up or Shut Up!”

John Murray contacted BoxingScene.com to share his frustration over Kevin Mitchell's apparent refusal to sign on the dotted line for an April 2nd EBU title showdown at London's Wembley Arena. Mitchell talked up the contest as recently as last Thursday; the Dagenham-based boxer has since revealed that the fight is a no-go, putting the postponement down to 'politics'.

Mitchell is a big let down and i feel sorry for Murray at the moment but hopefully Warren can get him the big fights that he seem to crave.

Murray has a great attitude and a good knowledge of how things work. I wish him all the best.

Mitchell gave a few excuses after the Katsidis fight of how he had a lot going on in his personal life. I hope for his sake he has sorted them out. He should have bounced right back after the Katsidis loss to get his head back in the game.

Mitchell is clearly suffering after the Katsidis loss. Mentally losing that fight in the biggest event in his life while have domestic problems is going to shatter his confidence.
He has not fought since and really needs a few tune ups before facing Murray. Mitchell is vulnerable right now and a loss to Murray could well mean the end of his career.

Mitchell has definitely suffered mentally after the Katsidis loss no doubt about that. But i personally don't rate Murray much i think it's a winnable fight for either fighter so i don't know why Mitchell doesn't want it. Maybe take a tune up then fight him?

I think Mitchell has the better boxing ability out of the two - as Murray has always come across as a bit 1 dimensional. I do think Murray would break down Mitchell in a fight though. He is an excellent pressure fighter. He has a similar style to Katsidis in that respect.

I hope Mitchell comes back as he is a great talent but I he needs to ditch the excuses and get back in the ring

Who cares about Murray? He is a bum who fights cab drivers.
