this is Shane Mosley vs Fernando Vargas all over again

I think Berto uses Ortiz as a stepping stone and makes a name for himself off of Ortiz SADLY! Ortiz is the sacrificial Lamb for GBP to see just how good Berto is to possibly set Up Saul Alvarez vs Andre Berto maybe towards of the end of this year

if Berto struggles against Ortiz and win then they will send Saul after him, if Berto DOMINATES Ortiz then they will not pursue it

I think Berto sadly ends any chance of Ortiz becoming a MAJOR DRAW...and I like Ortiz but I think GBP is handling this kid ALL WRONG, he LOST TO MAIDANA, beat a few OLD WASHED UP FIGHTERS, then STRUGGLED with Lamont Peterson...and Boxing Fans are suppose to believe that Ortiz is ready for Berto and will beat him...hahahahaha YEAH OK!

Of Course he has a CHANCE, anything can happen in a fight...but just like the Bradley vs Alexander fight, you will see the more SEASONED FIGHTER SCHOOL the YOUNGER UNTESTED FIGHTER, some will say Berto is not tested...but he has been tested MORE THEN ORTIZ!

            thering's site.

Berto, the WBC welterweight titleholder, and Ortiz have agreed to a catch weight of 145 pounds plus one, or in effect 146. That’s one pound below the welterweight limit.

wtf... just make it full on 147. ortiz didn't do well against a heavy handed puncher. berto is has only slightly more boxing skills than maidana. berto by TKO 7th.

As the only other person on this site that likes Ortiz, I have to say, he not gonna pull this one off. He definitely has the tools, boxing is more than the physical things, and the physical things is all Ortiz has.

I second that...unless Ortiz can somehow stay away for 12 rounds...

I think Ortiz is very dangerous the first four rounds but Berto will come on and stop him somettie after six when Ortiz is tired and fustrated.
