Comments Thread For: Wladimir Klitschko: We Won't Retire Without Haye's Belt!

WBO/IBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, and WBC champion Vitali Klitschko, are not looking to retire until they obtain the WBA title which is currently held by David Haye. For one reason or another, neither Klitschko has been able to get Haye in the ring. In 2009, Haye reached separate agreements with both brothers, and later withdrew from both fights.

    And they won't.
sad thing is that Haye will retire in October and the Klitschko will win a vacant belt.....

Yeah, probably rematching Ruslan Chagaev for it.

why is wlad now saying that because of his commitments to del boy and adamek that its unlikely he will fight haye this year. HE is the one that arranged those fights and previously he said that he would still fight Haye in july. sounds like he knows full well that by loading his schedule he would not be able to face Haye.

        ducker!

As much as I've slated Haye or more to the point Adam Booth you have admit that both parties have been as bad as each other.

Like said, read through the lines in Klits stmt and you know he means he'll capture the belt once Haye retires.

          the HW's.

lol, what happened to wlad can fight three times? he has just more or less admitted that he has no intention of fighting haye on the 2nd july.

shows what his attitude is tho, wlad would rather fight for the vacant WBA title than actually fight a champion for it. what class ay!

haye can only blame himself tho, he chose to fight fraudly so he cant say nothing.

Haye backed out fighting both brothers, and he had a SIGNED contract. No way no how can you say Wlad has acted with the disrespect and unprofessionalism that David Haye has displayed since he started at heavyweight.

I knew wladimir was ducking this time all along...I don't know why but he is. I am not going to make a thread about it saying I told you so like klit fans would do (in fact they would make 50) I knew this guy would do this even if Haye had agreed to July Wlad would have pushed it back to september. The July 2nd date was always a lie, it was a really ****** and obvious way for him to fight Chisora and make it not look like a duck, but the funny thing is so many of you bought it. Now people in time will come to realise this hopefully.

Adamek got the fight signed in 2 weeks. Haye don't want the fight. He had more than 5 chances to sign, he didn't. Now in time hopefully you will come to read the facts correctly.

                    still living in the past?

everybody knows haye pulled out of a wlad fight because he would have been paid £0 due to setanta going bust. maybe if the contract wasnt so ****ty in the first place, there might have still been enough money in it for haye to continue with the fight even without setanta.

anyways this has nothing to do with the current press release, where if you read between the lines, wlad wants to get the vacant WBA title.
