This guy is a terrible boxer. It's expected, because he's an NFL player. He trains out of Ambition, which is one city away from me, and that gym is a joke.

how many times have we seen this before, these crossover boxers, because they can't make the cut in their chosen profession, so since they go to a boxing workout class and have a sparring match or two, they think they can box and ALWAYS get smoked in the ring.

i'm sorry, but just because you're in shape for a certain sport, DOES NOT MEAN IN ANYWAY THAT YOU'RE IN SHAPE FOR BOXING........

boxing is the toughest sport, mentally and physically, and takes a lot of thinking while doing, instinct is either a blessing or a curse. most of these guys that come into the boxing from another sport have no clue of the amount of energy and control over emotions that is needed to be successful and safe.

as of right now, i don't mind the dilution of the hw division, it's a joke, and with these football players and the like coming into it should make for decent knockouts when they fight any real fighter, but it's not going to elevate anything and they aren't going to find the next great boxer or fighter. what is needed to make it to that level is learned and cultivated in a lifetime of boxing, not as a plan b to making a living.

show me one fighter that boxing is their plan b that has made any kind of splash or accomplishments in boxing, as far as i can think of there are none, and there is a reason for that, which i stated in the paragraph above.

this isnt like the 20's and 30's where part time boxers fought full time just to eat and support their families, and their being a fight every friday and saturday night, which out of that abundance of fighters would we find a great fighter or a world champ, the pool of prospective fighters was deeper, these guys have been living in camp snoopy playing other sports, boxing is a whole other world/hell..............

i'm not sold on any of these hacks, good luck to them, but i can't take ANY OF THEM SERIOUSLY, because if they were serious about boxing, boxing would've been the first career choice..........

boxing is first and always first........

I'm a huge fan of nfl, but this makes me want the nfl to have a lockout for a while so these guys will try to box. I'm sure they'll think they are good & it will bring interest to the sport when they beat some bums. But once they try to face anyone in the top 10 in any division they will lose. It will be good for boxing.
