Comments Thread For: Kazuto Ioka Breaks Japan's Record With WBC Title Win

At the World Memorial Hall in Kobe, Japan, 21-year-old Kazuto Ioka (7-0, 5 KOs) broke a Japanese boxing record by capturing the WBC strawweight with a five round stoppage of previously undefeated Oleydong Sithsamarchai (39-1-1, 14 KOs) of Thailand. The 10th-ranked Ioka broke a Japanese record for winning a world title in the fewest number of fights, seven. Former WBC bantamweight champion Joichiro Tatsuyoshi and former WBA super flyweight champion Nobuo Nashiro needed eight bouts to capture their titles.

Very Good win for Ioka!!!Just look at this YOUNG relatively unknown kid with ONLY 7 fights & he's already a WORLD CHAMPION..& the guy he beat(By KO) ain't NO CARDBOARD HYPED UP TITLE HOLDER, Oleydong Sithsamerchai was undefeated in around 40 fights & won the title in 2007 & was making his 8th defense..Now take a look at HYPE JOBS like Canelo & Julito Chavez jr that both have an average of 40 fights & have been ranked #1 FOR THE LONGEST, but HAVN'T fought a REAL TOP 10 CONTENDER YET!!! Ioka just showed that there is NO EXCUSE for these 2 HYPE JOBS & THEIR INFLATED RECORDS OF TOMATO CANS, BUMS, WAY SMALLER GUYS & HAVE BEENS to be considered TOP OF THE LINE!!

Nice win for Ioka. Even though he was undefeated, Sithsamerchai has been barely hanging onto his title the past few years, so I wondered if the Japanese youngster was going to take him
