I dont doubt Morales is a gutsy mother***er.

But this is a payday for him, so obviously hes going to take it.

Morales is the one who got me back into boxing in my late teens after ignoring it for many years.

I really don't think he has it anymore, but he has every right to prove me wrong.

May God bless El Terrible. If he needed money he could keep fighting easy opposition in Mexico to solid crowds looking for a showcase.

But Morales is a man willing to take on a challenge like that for no belt or monster payday.... just to step up to the plate and try to be the greatest yet again.

      He deserves all our respect.

Suprised me. He would have fought Bhop if thats what he had to do to get in the mix. I say its a bad match up for him. I think he's got a chance but the last thing an older fighter needs is a fight that rough.

Let's face the music, it's not gonna happen. Morales would be lucky to lose a decision. I see him getting knocked out by Maidana and then hopefully we see Marquez vs Maidana.

Also the knock out win over 2008 Ring/Lineal champion Joel Casamayor>Marcos Maidana.

No easy opponent in a large crowd in Mexico will get him the money he would get from fighting the top 135-140 pounders imo.

                Why yes, it is shocking.

Boxing is crazy. It would be like a dream if Morales wins. But it's likely to be a nightmare.

Still there's like this hope that he still got it and can beat Maidana in dramatic fashion. It's delusional but I'm sure there was people who thought Ali could beat Holmes.

Maidana did struggle against Corley so maybe just maybe...

Damn, I just hope he doesn't get critically hurt.

If Morale comes in shape, maybe he still possibly wins, he has alot better technique than maidana.

I'd give a lot of other boxers crap for this fight but I'll leave these two alone. Maidana has always fought the best he could and done well and shown heart. He deserves a good payday against a good name(he's fought good guys for good money, but it was more for the presitige in those fights than the money). I wish Morales would hang it up, but I wont be a keyboard warrior and rag on him for trying to make money. I'll give him credit, if he still has it in him, a victory over Maidana would give him a lot of respect at this point in his career. Personally I think this will be one of those sad fights where we all realize that we can't fight time. No matter what I'd like to say in advance "Thanks for all the wars Morales, you wont be forgotten."

I know but he already won some sort of BS interm WBC title. If he needed money he'd just hide out down there and defend until he gets an actual title shot and a real payday. Maidana is not a big draw; Sure Morales will make a little bit more money, but he's risking geting his ass violently kicked back into retirement.
