    Yes!! Michael Moorer Returning

"In what has to be the fastest 'comeback-retirement-comebacks' ever, former heavyweight (and light heavyweight) champion Michael 'Double M' Moorer (47-4-1; 37 KO's) has decided to return to the ring on October 21st against Kevin Rooney protege, Thomas Hayes (22-1; 15 KO's). Their bout will be staged at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood FL. Hayes' manager Mike Joyce told *********, "The deal is done and the contract has been signed! Moorer is definitely a step up in class for Thomas, but we feel he's ready for it. We've got some good southpaw fighters coming in and we feel this is a very winnable fight for him." Rooney added, "The only thing Moorer has left is his punching power. But Tommy has punching power too and... he's more elusive. It'll only be a matter of time til Tommy nails him." Last month, Moorer was the guest host on FNF, where at the beginning of the broadcast, he announced his intention to fight again. About 40 minutes later, fight analyst (and former trainer of Moorer) Teddy Atlas suggested that he retire from the ring. Without hesitation, Moorer accepted Atlas' advice and agreed to retire and concentrate on training other fighters. Last December, the 37 year old Moorer scored a 9th round TKO over Vassiliy Jirov and has since acknowledged his frustration over his bouts being cancelled."

He was always one of my favorites... We all love you here Mike and wish you good luck. Hopefully you can dominate once again and we will live in salvation... free of oppression.

I think he should stay retired , I liked him too but teddy told him how it was and he agreed when he thought about it now he thought about it too much and changed his mind.I wish him the best no matter what he does but he should hang em up IMO.

This shows you how committed he is to boxing, one minute he wants to fight and the next minute he wants to retire.

haha, that's true what chances do you think Briggs and Moorer have in this weak heavyweight class? Supposedly that bum that fought on FNF (Vaddeline or something) wants to fight him, that would be interesting, with Briggs giving him a royal **** kicking.

Moorer needs to stay retired. He was getting his ass kicked by Jirov until Jirov got too ****y and started trading with him. Moorer will not beat any of the champions in the division.

I thought the Jirov fight was a good one to end with. Sort of like Foreman's win over Michael. (George should have gone out with that one)
