According to reports, he is looking into Nacho. For those that suggested Maidana hire him, can you tell me why? Nacho is great at getting a technician's counterpunching ability and defense razor sharp. His fighters usually have a lot of talent, athleticism, and speed to begin with. I just don't see what he can do for Maidana, especially at this stage.

Exactly. Just look at Nacho fighters and see if Maidana would fit in. Not to mention the word around town is that Maidana is a stubborn guy to begin with.

He needs someone who speaks Spanish, and will get him in top shape to do what he does best.

Like Capetillo used to do with Margarito.

no one is gonna teach maidana anything new within the next fight... but he just needs someone to help him become more relentless. capetillo is a good call, but he's banned from the US

Robert Garcia, won't change Maidana style but will get him in great condition for his fights.

Maidana isn't going to change his style, he isn't going to start jabbing more out of no were etc.

He hired Nacho, it's official. And, I don't think it's a good fit at all either. But, we'll see how it works out.

nacho can help him with his technique and get his foot work better....maidiana throws alot of slow off balance shots and isnt in position to follow up at times..it showed in the khan fight..if he had better technique khan wouldve been out in the 10th
