I'm sorry,but it's ok to put the wbc on blast & everyone else that he did.But when U blasting Margarito for a fight he didn't deserve(for a title to boot),I am under the opinion that U shouldn't just casually leave out arum & team Pacman,because after all,they are the people that set the whole thing up,correct??

I'm Mexican and I have to say the culture of corruption has been a part of the WBC forever. It's sad but Jose Suleiman has destroyed what was once a prestigious belt.

It all started going down hill when the whole Roy Jones Jr debacle happened a few years back...

That has nothing to do with Rafael's article. He didn't complain that Marg got a shot. He complained that Marg is still ranked so highly by them now, and worse still, that fighters like Chavez Jr are ranked so highly by them. The issue is not one particular fight, the issue is that their entire rankings are corrupt from top to bottom.

If I remember right, Roy left the WBC middle weight title vacant and then some German fighter (can't remember his name off the bat) moved in to a title shot with someone else.

The German fighter won and then all of a sudden, Roy Jones conveniently wanted his title back at SMW or MW , can't remember...

So Suleiman gave it to him and then sent the German fighter a letter saying it was a miss print that he would be fighting for the title and stripped him. Of course because Roy Jones at the time was a cash cow, much more than this little known German fighter.

So homeboy sued the WBC and won and almost made them go bankrupt if I remember correctly.


Suleiman is as corrupt as they get.

u can't blame arum and team pac for something the WBC does. just by looking at the rankings you can tell the incompetancy is with the WBC.

It seems he does this column every month. It's funny if you've never read it, but it gets old...

*** that......I wish he'd write this **** every damn day.......and not just about the WBC but about all the other **** alphabet trinkets that plague our sport.....who knows this might lead to a WLOB (World League of Boxing) one body to rule the sport.... yeah I know wishfull thinking......
