I find this funny in this article that an anonymous informant made this
statement...
“There were a lot of warning signs on Pacquiao,” says one person who followed the negotiations, “but HBO missed them because the guys there don’t have their ear to the ground. By the time they woke up to the problem, it was too late. And there’s an arrogance. It’s like, ‘We’re HBO. We can buy what we want. We’re too big to fail.’ But when they can’t get what they want by throwing money at people, they have no idea how to deal with the situation. Look how helpless they were when they tried to make Mayweather-Pacquiao.”
Was Floyd telling the truth?? Because Who has HBO (ROSS GREENBRUG) revealed they talked with from Floyds camp?? Here we have someone w ARUM and co. admitting that HBO DID A PISS POOR JOB in the Mayweather / Pacquiao negotiaition....
Now if HBO is doing everything it can to secure a manny/floyd, fight, then why are people in the industry saying they are not???
This is also another point deduction against ARUM AS WELL. HE STATED HBO WAS IN THE NEGOTIATIONS, BUT WITH WHO? AND WAS IT THE SAME TERMS THAT ARUM PROPOSED EARLIER?
We all know about the COUNTDOWN lock, but was it a countdown clock to take our old terms?? Mayweather and co never came out and said what these terms were, could this be an indication that they never even received them?
