If boxing were to be on national television

If big fights, that we normally see on ShowTime and HBO and PPV, were aired on normal tv channels would that help the sport itself? Do you think its ever possible to see a boxing event as big as it was before?

It would help the rating & the dying of the sport, but the fighters would get payed less, probably the promoters too, that's why they won't do it again.Boxing is a business 1st,everything falls in line after that.

only if the president took a personal interest in boxing and attended every big boxing event or used them to entertain foreign chiefs of state.
