Should boxers unite against governing bodies?

We all know how crooked the WBS/WBO/IBF and WBC are. Consortiums with promoters (Sulliman and King are almost lovers!)

Ranking decided upon donations, not ability.

    Corruption of the highest order.

Sanction fees far exceeding any of these ‘non profit’ organisations balance sheets

    THEY ARE A DISGRACE

    Should boxers unite against them?

Look at Floyd Mayweather. He knows the value of a fighter is in his ability, not the belts he carries. He wasn’t interested in Shane’s WHO WW title last year. AT ALL. I doubt you’ll see Mayweather ever fight for a ‘world title’ again. He doesn’t need to.

To put it bluntly, fans want the best to fight the best and no belt on earth will change that.

What are your thoughts on this??

Only cash cows like Mayweather can go against sanctioning bodies.

why would boxers unite? most of them care more about money than anything else.

Why on earth would they protest against the people who could help them make heaps of money.

Its about making money, not standing for your morals.

if it has to happen, it will happen on its own, gradually

Floyd is a very bad example though as he has benefited from being WBC champion 5 times................

Naw,different sanctioning bodies allows fighters to benefit. They can make more money without fighting the best.1 champ per division means that to be that 1 champ,u'd have to beat him.

most fighters coming up love sanctioning bodies

                they give out belts

and most people dont understand the system and the lack of weight behind the belts

                they make fighters more money
                leverage them for bigger fights
give them the confidence of being "World Champion"

it's the system we've got right now
if you took it away tomorrow youd have fighters making less money and selling less tickets

i'd just like to see the governing bodies moderated so they quit some of the real funny stuff (strippings, fee inflating, etc)

The boxers should really form a union if they had anything going on upstairs. Its quite apparent that these promoters/managers/sanctioning bodies are all sharks. These cats are all snakes. These boxers should take care of themselves
