Golden Boy don't even pay their boxers well. Canelo only made $350k for a fight which had a record attendance at the arena it was held and drew a tv audience of over a million. Yet they offerred Senchenko $550k? They're stingy even with their marquee stars. They were only able to get Marquez 3 million for a fight that did over 1 million PPV buys and sold 12000 tickets.

the Marquez-Mayweather fight made 60 million (52 million PPV), HBO take half of the PPV so that left 34 million=10 million for Mayweather, 3 million for Marquez..the other 20 million went into Oscar's pocket, yet Arum is the crook?

Arum will get Marquez 5-10+ million like he did Margo, Cotto, Mosley.. I never understood this "Golden Boy looks out for their fighters" rubbish. They look out for themselves, period.

Look how they treated Mosley and how hostile they were in trying to stop him from making a living pursuing the Pac fight as a free agent. Look how they are treating Marquez now with Schaefer saying he isn't acting honorably by wanting to secure a third Pac fight by becoming a free agent.

Top Rank is a Circus and Bob Arum is the ring leader of the circus that treats his fighters like Circus animals...GBP treats their fighters like ATHLETES and they get treated with much more respect even when they are put in the most competitive fights...

I don't know how Bob does it. I can see the fault in Golden Boy stealing Donaire while he still has a valid contract with Top Rank, but Bob still manages to steal Manny from Golden who signed him first. I know it was Pac who picked Top Rank, but the type of influence Arum has is crazy. He's a proven veteran of the game.

Maybe the boxers know what will get them most $$ (at least initially) unless they are all ******. GBP lack of large quantity of good for HBO "force" them to steal Donaire.
