But let's be honest here, that was a horrible fight. Whoever JMM fights next, will almost certainly offer more than Morales at this point.
more of what? money? Morales is a sure shot HOF and for sure will bring fans on wherever they fight.. i still believe a shot terrible is far better than plenty of other boxers..

I believe the story of him not wanting to stick around with Golden Boy
more than I am believing that he is scared of Erik Morales.

          No, or couse not.

In case you hadn't noticed, Morales is no longer an elite fighter.

There are a number of options for JMM, who would be more competitive than Morales at this point.

You're living in the past bro, Morales is done.

          Name them.

Name these fighters who are viable option for JMM, and would not put up as good a show as Morales.

I think that only jltsmae actually believes that.

Anyone using fear and Marquez in the same sentence does not deserve to be calling themselves a boxing fan. You literally don't have a ****ing clue what you're talking about.

And people calling Morales a threat? Look at his last 2 fights you idiots. Anyone of top level boxing can beat this guy. He's fat, out of shape with no snap to his punches whatsoever, legs are completely gone.

              get real, seriously.

everybody knows terrible is no longer elite but acting like he would just take a knee or dive out of the ring is beyond delusional.. he has a lion heart and that alone would give us enough explosive while it lasts..

a shot casa who got a gift decision against sta cruz and got lucky against Katsidis is more worthy of an opponent than EM? drop the lineal BS coz it should be sta cruz's title before JMM fought casa.

if El terrible's an easy tune up for JMM, so be it. it would be a great stay busy fight at 140 while he aims for his 4th weight title. but why not fight him if he doesnt want to fight the 140 belt holder right now?

Erick fighting Maidana spoke a lot how great a fighter he is. he no longer belong to the elite level and his skills have deminished but his cajones remains intact..

if every boxer is just like him, we would be having an ******ic weekend every week.. SMH..

Agreed bro, Morales is a legend, but it will take more than cajones to beat Marquez, who is no longer prime himself, but still well on top of his game.

Marquez batters Morales at this stage, and I truly feel that nobody wants to see Eric's legacy diminished by taking a beating from JMM now, when everybody knows that fight woulda been an event a few years back.

I just don't like mis-matches, especially when they involve faded legends.

Maybe you're right, maybe Eric would rise to the occasion.
