Comments Thread For: Erik Morales' Trainer: This Proves Marquez is Afraid!

José Morales, father and coach of Erik "El Terrible" Morales, said the negotiations fell apart for an April fight with Juan Manuel Marquez because of the rising demands that were made by Marquez. The elder Morales is claiming that a deal was reached between all of the involved parties, but then Marquez came back to the table and raised his monetary demands for the fight. However, there are reports floating in Mexico that Marquez refused to sign a contract for Morales in order to avoid the extension of his promotional contract with Golden Boy Promotions.

So you think Marquez has always been afraid of Morales, but somehow he's not afraid of Pacquaio?

Marquez passes up on a has been Morales whos best days are behind him.. Possibly even a good time to even get a W against Morales on his resume. Only way I am letting this slide is if Marquez is looking at 140lb opponents or possibly even Berto. It would be sad to see him sit around and wait for Pacman

It does seem like he's waiting for pac. I for one think JMM is next for pac after mosley.

But more importantly, who are those two girls on your avy?
