this will easily surpass 2.4 mill, it would be huge, even people who don't watch boxing want to watch this because its a huge sporting event not just a boxing event.

Because de la hoya was a name, but wasnt considered the best fighter in the world... Not only do mayweather and pacquiao have their brand names, they are also both equally the best fighters in the world, around the same age, in the same weight class..

Its different, its bigger... Way bigger.

This is the fight that even the entire MMA world will buy.

I dunno brothers, but with todays unrestricted video steams in the internet, and the prolific bootleg live TV access (also thru the internet)... its hard to sum up the math.

2007 was when that 2.4 hits happen, now times have radically changed... the internet being mostly to blame. If it did hit the numbers... its a hoorah for the boxing world. If it aint...well go blame the internet...

If showtime handles this it could easily surpass 2.4M PPV

I think even with the proliferation of vid streams this fight will hit more than 2.4M. Streams are not reliable and many people wont want to miss this fight by watching streams.

Probably so... but its just my take.... honestly, i watched the Pac-Mosley & Khan-Maidana fights on live internet streams and not with PPV. Reason to be had is just simple.... cost me less than the PPV fee. A lot of us did that during the last two years mostly though due to work schedules hassles up the time to sit back on your couch at home watching with a lime or a booze on the right hand.

I for one for the record would love to see the *pings* light up in the PPV ratings with this fight. Its a milestone in boxing history worth the pay in live TV.

Getting a bit too late, I mean by the time it comes Mayweather will probably be 35, hardly prime.

Should have happened last year, but they ***ed up.

I guess Mayweather being a bit older will give Pacman an edge and make it more competitive.

One thing about it is that the cost will be divided in most situations. Its fight party time so finances wont be so crucial. I cant remember the last PPV I watched in solitude. For fights like this people sacrifice. I remember my father being broke as **** when Tyson/Douglass happened but a couple of buddies and an uncle later broke didnt matter.
