Canelo Alvarez named official challenger for Pacquiao's WBC belt.

yup, Manny's WBC Superwelterweight belt is now vacant by a WBC voting and the Silver champ Saul Alvarez is the challenger with the opponent to be voted next.

    -fight news

Will Chavez Jr. go down in weight to fight him in near future?

Imagine Chavez jr and Alvarez in Dallas stadium, could get as close or more than 70K in the seats.

But it probably will never happen

So.. a belt that never really existed is being vacated and essentially gift wrapped for the Silver Champ Aka Canelo.. Because he has a title(Silver) that no one really recognizes as meaning anything. That is a lot of theoretical mathematics.

Chavez wont sign up for that kinda pain. If Lyell almost pulled one out on him then Canelo would surely retire him at 42-1.

I disagree, I think that Angulo is strong as an ox and tough as nails, Canelo is the better boxer.

I don't think they would throw him at Angulo at this point but it would be a great fight for the near future.

I want to see Angulo vs Cotto personally.

I just hope the second challenger is Martirosyan.
