Povetkin won a tournament to fight Wlad years ago. He didn't want to fight him then and he still doesn't want to fight him.

Still not sure how a Haye fan can question the validity of Chisora as an opponent.

Haye is trying to get Wlad in the ring with him with almost a year of ring rust on him. Giving him ultimatums to keep him from having a tuneup (and fulfilling a previous engagement in the process.) I can see a guy not wanting to have his strings pulled further by someone who already pulled out of a fight and has been running his mouth for years, while fighting less than stellar competition.

You got it backwards, it's Wlad who wants a rusted Haye.

Wlad is playing the same games he did with Byrd in 2000. Byrd was contractually obligated to rust it out after beating Vitali until Wlad was good and ready for him. Byrd wasnt even allowed exhibition matches...a ridiculous stipulation.

Wlad doesnt sign a fight without some insane angle in play.... Shrewd but subtle.

I don't think he does but honestly I chose yes because nobody else does either really.

Who among these guys lately getting title shots really deserved them. Guys pulled out of retirement like Briggs and Rahman, green guys like Solis and Chisora, non contenders like Harrison?
I suppose Chisora deserves one as much as anyone these days but if he waited til he had 20-24 fights he's definitely given a better chance to compete.

Chisora didn't deserve the fight when it was announced for December of last year, but he does now. The reason? Wlad called him out, he had a full 8+ week camp, and then Wlad pulls out a few days before the fight with an injury. It wouldn't be right to leave the guy hanging after being so close to that kind of opportunity.

Wlad/Chisora's a pretty crap fight, but it has the rather excellent upside of consisting of a challenger who is actually willing to step into the ring with the champ. That automatically makes it better than a couple of other fights I could name.

                      8 people said yes definately,chisora deserves a shot?.WTF!lmao.

there is no honour in making this fight in the first place, and even less for re scheduling it!.

if he wanted to give an up and comer a chance why not a decent european level and highly ranked fighter?.

People seem to forgot, its Wlads fault for getting "injured" and not fighting in December.

Had he not pulled out and not got "injured",or had he not done 2 workouts in 1 day, being 2 days before a fight, the 35 year old might not have gotten injured, someone with 50 odd fights should know not to overdo it 2 days before a fight!.

so its wlads fault hes inactive as he is now,he chose to fight december,he chose to pull out in december, hence him being more inactive that makes his excuse for fighting chisora and not fighting haye next.
