Linares career stalled the same way ortiz did and i still dont see him ever being p4p material. Marquez is not happy and he is next to go to Recycle Rank. Their whole stable consists of green fighters. GBP is ****ED!!!!! They better get their stuff together.

They got that Canelo kid, Khan and BHop is involve on the business side so he's going nowhere. that sounds like a decent trio. Mayweather will deal with them too. to be honest I think they do pretty good. They get their fighters paid and thats their job.

GBP needs Amir Khan and Saul Alvarez to make a lot of $$$$$$ in the future.

GBP will be fine Oscar generated about $700 million in PPV on HBO and that is why HBO is in bed with GBP right now.

Canelo is the only thing keeping GBP on long term life support. If khan can keep himself from getting KTFO, then there is another golden egg. Bhop is old, bipolar, has never been a huge draw, and has a love hate relationship with GBP the same way barrera, marquez and mosley did/do. After the superbowl, they better pray to god mayweather doesn't sign with bob. I doubt it, but you never know with mayweather.

Here is the GBP stable. I know it might be old, but just so you have an idea. LMFAO, they have a garbage stable compared to top rank. Not to mention they are having issues with canelo's mexico managers/promoters, and they have to share khan and haye. They need to cut a lot of these inactive/old/unproductive fighters to free up some cash. People have no idea how much money those companies spend on idle fighters sometimes.

Thats not exactly true.. That deal is about the run out in 2012, and HBO is not inclined to extend the same deal to GoldenBoy. After 2011, GB will be in the same boat with the other promoters, and that is begging for television dates for their fighters. And given the stable that they have now, I doubt they can get the same number of HBO dates in 2012 that they are enjoying now. They have one year to build their young fighters, sign free agents, to beg for Floyd to fight again. Otherwise they're ****ed.

Canelo is a good start. We were talking future for GBP and they have all the future superstars. You already see that their gonna prtect Khan until its time for the big payday. All the unhappy guys are old as **** anyway. What could Barrera really complain about when he doesnt have it anymore. Mosley cant complain he had to borrow Bhop's nuts to challenge Floyd. He's a follower. Mayweather has been making too much money to change the recipe now.

Mares is looking good with the tournament. I like andrade, but he is 32 and is going on a year off. At 168, there is not many big fights he can win. Kirkland was a win or two from having it all but threw it all away over a pistol???? He needs to get in there with a tuneup asap. Lets hope he can regain what he had. Still want to see more on kayode.

U post like a true gentle man bro.But I'm sorry to say that it is tricky matchmaking that's killing the sport big man."Big" shows??What, like Pacman-Mosley??Top rank can promote this fight as big as they want. But when U keep putting fights like that on ppv, everybody is gonna want that kind of money to fight. That's why there's guys like Berto getting paid buku dollars to fight bums or smaller men. That's why young guys like Khan are acting cheap & trying to underpay opponents. The business aspect is paying people now, when the world economy on a whole is doing bad. That's why the superbowl is sooo popular & boxing isn't as big as it used to be.

Big shows aren't the correct way to promote the sport,no matter how good it looks right now.In the long run,no one is gonna fight for less than the standard that top ranks worthless "big shows" are setting. What the sport needs is to stop spoiling fighters & make them earn a big show spot & stop putting garbage matchups on ppv for 60 bucks a pop.
