The Ring didn't say there was a deal in place for Morales-Maidana though; they said JMM is out of the fight and date, and it's possible Maidana could be the replacement.
How can you just disregard the news, when Rosenthal is so close to GBP? The article has recent quotes from Schaefer himself. Plans can change and JMM said he hasn't signed the 2nd contract.
2nd Contract?
Whats the 1st contract for ? and whats for the 2nd?

The 1st contract was to agree that the loser of the fight will pay for all the burritos, tortillas, tacos, and beer for the winner of the fight on the celebration day which is Sunday night. Marquez signed that contract. The 2nd contract is to actually agree to fight, which Marquez didn't want to sign because he felt bad about potentially beating the crap out of Morales. He wants a tougher fight.

I can't remember the details, but I read it a few days ago on here from one of JMM's quotes to Mexican media.
