James Toney vs Jean Marc Mormeck

Shortly after Toney beat Jirov, this would have been a GREAT fight.

Mormeck is as solid as can be, has huge chin, and is a hook throwing machine.

Toney is as slick as can be, breaks guys down, and counters as good as anyone around.

How would this fight have gone down?

I think Toney would win on points. I also dont think Mormeck punches hard enough to seriously hurt Toney. Mormeck would need to box and use his reach instead of fighting in the clinches because he could get in trouble. Either way I see Toney pounding out a relatively easy UD.

That would have been a great fight IMO too. I would have to say Toney by UD but would be fun I am sure just for Toneys interviews if nothing else.

Toney could have unified Cruiser if he could have controlled his weight.

All of the major fighters in that division are question marks, and Toney beat down the only real dominant that division has had in awhile.

Mormeck is the best in that division right now, but theres no way he could have stood up to a fighter like James.
