Chambers returning Feb 11th against Derric Rossy - And it's a rematch.

    Feb 7, 2011

Former heavyweight title challenger Eddie Chambers makes his comeback on Feb 11th against Derric Rossy. The two will square off in New Jersey after a long layoff by Chambers who was last seen in the ring almost a year ago challenging Unified Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko in a fight that saw body slams and Klitschko knocking out Chambers cold in the 12th round, after completely dominating the entire fight. Sources at the time were saying Chambers was entertaining a move to cruiserweight, however Chambers apparently isn't done in the heavyweight division and will make his move towards the crown again with the fight against Rossy. The twist to this whole story is that the fight will actually be a rematch. The two met back in 2007 in which Chambers scored one of his rare knockout victories. Chambers, not known as a huge puncher, is more of a volume puncher, and has shown he can accumulate damage over the course of a long fight as he did with Dimentrenko. That fight saw Chambers win a wide unanimous decision against Dimentrenko in arguably his best win of his career. Viewing the Rossy resume on the other hand, it would be tough to find a notable win on his record.

This fight will be an IBF Eliminator and believe it or not, Chambers will be in position to earn a fight with Klitschko again if he pulls it off. Chambers is still one of the most talented American heavyweights on the scene, and this fight will show us for one if the Klitschko loss left anything in his tank.

    Two questions will be answered:

    1) Has Rossy improved?
    2) Will Chambers be the same after being dominated and KOed by Wladimir, and after nearly a year of inactivity?

I expect Chambers will win again, but Rossy will likely give him a better fight this time.

It's not a final IBF eliminator, it's part of a four-fighter eliminator. The winner will fight the winner of Peter-Harris, which will no doubt be Peter.

I expect Chambers will win again, but Rossy will give him a more competitive fight this time.

I don't know how much Harris has left at this point, but he's infinitely better than Peter and should decision him pretty easily.

Yep, meaning we'll get to see Peter Chambers II more than likely.
