As a Brit i really wouldn’t know, but I’m curious as it would appear he might well be!

I don’t see Floyd being invited to the Whitehouse. Mind you, i don’t think Floyd Mayweather is the sort of person a president would want to be seen socialising with. Manny, on the other hand..

Poor Floyd, seems even his own people prefer the opponent he’s afraid to fight, and Manny isn’t even an American citizen!

    You gotta laugh, really. haha

Considering what Floyd has done, he is probably more popular than Floyd amongst Floyd's own children.

Floyd is probably responsible for turning American boxing fans away from boxing to UFC.

Both are big public figures. Pacquiao right now is on the high horse of notoriety and acceptance from American fans while Mayweather, who's also highly regarded by American fans, is getting the type of publicity now no one really wants. But with time, people move on and forget (ala Mike Tyson in the 90s).

Well if Floyd wants a reverse of fortunes then I can think one way to become the general public’s darling again...

you gotta go to some bars and ask some random girls you meet inside if they happen to know floyd or pac...kinda like using it as a pick up line.

yes sir, that's how you get the truth...then make a thread about it with this thread title: Pac is bigger than floyd in American

i think Pac is better known to the average man on the street in the UK than Floyd is....i think most would know the Mayweather name but show them photos and i'm pretty sure most would know who Pacman is in the Uk before floyd....could be wrong, but thats my take on it. Pacman is the face of boxing in my eyes at the moment....

I think there is more of a build up and interest when Mayweather fights but Pacquaio himself is the more intriguing individual... He also doesn't seem to get into trouble with the law like Mayweather does and is himself a politician.
