I wonder did Ariza work gratis in the last time he shaped Khan for Malignaggi? if he shaped him then and freddie paid him, then I can see why Khan might have felt a bit cornered by Ariza with a contract just before his biggest fight if he hadn't signed one beforehand....but it also sounds like Khan was fully aware that Ariza wanted a contract signed as Ariza makes out like he had been asking for the contract to be signed but Khan had been delaying...

Sounds a bit of a mess and shouldnt have got into this sitation in the first place....seems like poor communication between everyone has led it to this cluster***, shame as all parties could have done well with each other, now it's just a mess and there will be no winners from all of this

Khan does come across as a bit cheap and i hope he doesnt pay for it in the long run by trying to save pennies when there is bigger pounds around the corner that he can get if he's not being short-signed. Ariza also comes across as a bit slippery and he should really keep his mouth buttoned and be the bigger man...he will get paid when the courts hear the story, but right now he's doing himself no favours
It's usually a bad idea for family members to be running a fighter's career unless the relative has a boxing background which from what I gather, Shah doesn't even know how to differentiate a straight right from a left hook.

You can be an excellent boxer but without proper strength and conditioning, you can not be an elite fighter. The Maidana fight proved how valuable Ariza was especially in the later rounds. This is a test to what kind of a person Amir Khan is. If he did sign a contract, whether it was at the beginning or towards the end of training camp, then he should take it upon himself to tell Papa Shah to STFU and pay Alex. It's his money. It's his training. It's his career. Papa Shah is just running a milking cow for his own retirement at the sweat of his own son. Shah is ruining both Amir's physical conditioning and psychological well being. Truely, Amir needs Alex more that Alex needs him. Alex gets from training Khan perhaps not even half of what hemakes from the likes of Manny. So Amir, did you sign a contract? If you did, you are a grown man and should honor it. Pay up!

Yea, but there is a legal system for these kind of things. There is no way any person today can do a job and not get paid for it, especially in the scenario with ariza and khan, Judge Judy have his money in 3 minutes easy! So far Team Khan never said they paid him, they said Roach has to. Roach says no thats not true. So obviously Ariza needs to get paid, subpoena they ass and lets keep it moving. Its really not that serious...

Shah's teeth are pretty cute. I can see why he gets a lot of female attention at Amir's fights.

But that aside it doesn't mean you can dishonour a contract if that's what's happened. But this whining in the media doesn't do much for either party. If Ariza's got a problem, take it to court.
