Does anyone know roughly how many active professional boxers there are in the world?

16,535 according to boxrec.

I think it's fighters who have been active in the last year then they get dropped. I'm not 100% sure though.

it's more dependent on what's scheduled rather that what is fought

that number is spot on for the most part

i was going to guess around ten to fifteen thousand

some of them have less than 100 boxers
some MUCH less

theres lot of boxers around......one coming from our country is joan guzman.....problem is he has the heart of our national hero duarte......
