When a Mexican fighter says it you know that he is serious about trying to get the knockout. They don't go for that slick fighting stuff, they want to hurt their opponents and put them down if possible.

Reminds me of when Mosley said he was going to KO Margarito, I seriously laughed out loud. On fight night I was like wtf is the matter with me, lol.

first montiel aint washed up he is in his natural weight he is one of the biggest punchers in the world...people must realize the mexicans beat by pacquiao were dead men washed ups but we all know all those mexicans pacquiao beat would of murder him if he would of fought them in their prime

            quite possible.

Nonito has several holes in his defense and is open for those short inside hooks (Montiel's money punch).

If Fernando can get inside often and do damage, it will be a long night for Donaire

Donaire will use the distance to keep Montiel at bay. That aggression is gonna get him tagged with counters on the way in. Close fight for 3 rds or so but by the 8th or 9th, Montiel will be down on the cards and start getting really desperate.

I must agree, almost every Mexican boxer I have seen has a ton of heart..no doubt about it. Montiel looks like a great inside fighter from the few times I have seen him. Donaire is a great outside boxer...it's going to be a close chess match for a few rds no doubt.
