Peterson looks scared to me tbh.. if he mad 100k with Ortiz.. 300k with Khan is fine and so is the rematch clause.. Khan is the champ and Peterson probably isn't inline for a champ fight.

Khan wants to fight 3 fights this year.. so naturally he wants to fight an easier (but still a challenge) soon.. and then fight Bradley in the middle part of the year. I doubt this happens though as Bradley will not risk a Pac fight which Arum will probably promise him

a real champion will represent and quit low balling fighter and the say he priced himself out. i'm glad it failed and peterson did'nt sell himself out to this jackass.peterson was definitely going to win this fight and should get paid for the ass whooppin he was about to give khan the high price coward.

If he was definitely going to win isn't it a colossal mistake not to take the fight, considering how much he could make in the rematch? He could then win the rematch and unify with Bradley after that. What can he do now?

peterson has done NOTHING in his career and would have been lucky to make such money much less a world title shot. if he wins this he could have gone onto bigger things but its obvious they are not confident of winning this at all. thats the only explanation. then again if he loses this its a very long road back.

Barry Hunter knows his stuff and treats both brothers like sons...he does not want lamont to go to england and get his but whipped, which is definitely what would happen. He is protecting his fighter...I fail to see where peterson can get this kind of pay day again unless he gets very lucky somewhere down the road.
