Then he should fight them? He deserves a shot at them? Sure does he deserve a shot at Khan ? No.

McCloskey should fight someone like Peterson or Ortiz before he was allowed to fight Khan, Only reason Khan took the fight is because they got McCloskey cheap.

True that, but winning this fight will sharpen Khan's defence, especially for that uppercut, and he needs those tools as he's going further.

The uppercut exposure was the worst thing about the Maidana fight. Would have been much wider margin of victory had he a good uppercut defense and he'll have to work on that now.

Plus McCloskey has good body movement and throws powerful short range punches. Will be good to sharpen Khan's tools for Bradley.

A bigger challenge than Peterson imo because Peterson hasn't got that uppercut or the elusive size and movement.

Bradley is small and slick too.

Im going to be perfectly honest, I dont know much about McCloskey, I dont know if he is an inside fighter ? Well is he? You think that this fight is somehow beneficial to Khan because it will help Khans inside game?

You say its a good fight, But you dont exactly say what McCloskey brings to the table other than an "uppercut". Sounds like another one diamension, one trick pony if thats the case.

He has a good uppercut. He's slick and he's sharp. Good from short range.

A little flatfooted is my main criticism.

Check this KO from nowhere...look up the fighter he's facing good pedigree!

and heres a highlight reel..yup he's a southpaw handy when judah is knocking around:

The only one on that list that was controversial was Ortiz. Against Peterson he would almost certainly win, and against the others, not including Ortiz, he'd win with one hand tied behind his back.

                He wasn't even in boxrec's top 50.

Whereas McCloskey is ranked #10 by both boxrec and The Ring.

Name me one recognisable name on McBeggars CV, If he could have beaten those guys he would have fought them already, This is just a case were McBeggar wants to become famous as being "The guy who lost to Khan", Then people will want to fight McBeggar because "He fought Khan".

Its sickening when boxers make a career out of another boxers name.
                  I hope you're not a Haye fan.

Obviously not cause he's a bum. That's my point, that he was Khan's mandatory even though he was a bum.
