Kessler's contract for the supersix was 12M DKK per fight for the groupstage fights. That's a little more than 2M USD. I'd estimate the semi's to give more ie 3M USD.

You've said so many times that Bute hasn't fought anybody, but when your boy becomes available, he shouldn't fight Bute?? Bute is the best fight possible for Kessler until the end of the tournament. If Kessler does as you say, I call for ducking. Hopefully, there is still a warrior in the Viking.
If he fights a tune-up and the supersix winner in there's no way you can say he'd be ducking Bute.

Kessler has a long history of fighting through injuries. He's had severe back and hand problems (I've seen the surgical scar on his right hand from the injury he took into Calzaghe) and always showed up. If he says his eye needed to heal, he earned the benefit of the doubt. His return is exactly in line with when his people said he'd be able to return. All handled professionally.

Dirrell's camp getting caught on camera whining about $ before claiming neuro problems, asking for a lawyer, and no knowing the doctor's name came off a little different.

          Well put.

Let me add that the situation for the 2 fighters was vastly different. Kessler was to earn a fortune while Dirrell's career would have been all but over had he lost to Ward.

Kessler is a bum who faked it.

He should stay in Europe and fight the other robots like Stieglitz.

He can't win anywhere but his home country and his adopted country Germany.

I agree. That is all true.
AND I am saying this as Kessler's biggest fan.

I know he can beat a lot of guys, but not the very best.

Bute ducked Kessler before the tournament even started. I'm not a huge fan of Kessler either, but somebody needs to post the video on this thread of when Bute was asked about fighting Kessler and even Froch after he had beaten Jermaine Taylor. Poop Chute brushed both guys off when asked about them.

The S6 winner will be ready to fight only in 2012. After a year out, I hope Kessler is planning to fight between June and 2012.

And everybody is complaining that Bute doesn't fight anybody, but when one of the top guys is available, you say he shouldn't fight Bute. You really want Bute not to fight the best? It's not like Bute would not be accepted by a TV network or that he doesn't bring money to the table...
