Comments Thread For: Tomas Rojas Decisions Nobuo Nashiro, Retains Title

WBC super flyweight champion Tomas Rojas (35-12, 23KOs) went to the Prefectural Gymnasium in Osaka, Japan and won a twelve round decision over former WBA champion Nobuo Nashiro (14-3, 9KOs). The scores 114-113, 116-113 and 116-111. The fight was Rojas' first defense of the vacant title that he won last September from Kohei Kono in Japan. Nashiro gets his second loss in his last three fights. He lost a twelve round decision to Hugo Fidel Cazares last May.

rojas is like the boxer version of Glen Johnson...he doesnt mind going on the road and he is a lot better then his record indicates.....at least Rojas gets the nod in other peoples backyard where as Johnson always seems to get the short end of the stick....good for Rojas now bring on Cazares!!!!

This is a bit of a surprise. Rojas generally loses to top fighters. I guess Nashiro isn't a top fighter. Bring on Cazares in an Mexican showdown.

Nor really bc rojas is big and is a good boxer. He only looses when he gets caught like with vic and arce and againts big punchers somethinng nashiro isnt. Hes sort of like jhonny gonzales.
