Comments Thread For: Arum Talks Chavez, Sergio Martinez, HBO, Canelo, More

There's no such thing as being an accomplice to legalized murder which is I guess why promoter Bob Arum would have no qualms about throwing underwhelming Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. into a world middleweight title unification bout against Argentine terror Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez.

Does he really want to line up Chavez jr against Martinez? This is crazy. Maybe in two years junior can beat Sergio decisively but not today.

arum is an idiot.Isnt it good hbo demanding tought fights? Is that wrong for
hbo to demand even fights instead of mismatches? Why is he making
excuses for chavez jr to avoid canelo. He knows canelo will tap dat azz.

Chavez Jr and Alverez both suck. Right now there average at best. Its because there both young. Maybe in time they will be something but right now no one cares about watching that fight.

i guess arum and trampler see chavez jr vs martinez going the way of marg vs cotto. the bigger more relentless guy will wear down the boxer. I think they like the size match up chavez jr has over martinez. only way I can see it.
