I think that the ref did the right thing at the time, he didn't have the luxury of deciding for 10 minutes, he had to make an instant decision.
no but he had the luxury of deciding for 10 seconds. there is just absolutely no excuse for calling the fight off at the count of 5, even if they go down twice bobby czyz.

he was the only one to say that, when they asked marc ratner after the fight he looked at him like WTF are you talking about and simply said no its not a rule.

btw the round was over so neither tszyu or judah would have had a chance to throw a another punch in the rounf much less landed one.

so its a minute rest for judah to gain his composure back, and he didnt hve that long in the other 2 kd's of his career against millett, and bergman, he came right back against them and jumped all over them and finished them off in 4.

so he has showed he can get up and finish people off when he gets kded.

i will admit that he was more hurt from the tszyu punch any of the other he went down to, but still thats why there is a ten count and not 5 count.

to much controversy, need a rematch we should be discussing what happened in their rematch, about 2 1/2 to 3 years ago at least.

but tszyu has ducked him ever since, i its such an easy win why not figh him again right after, specially for all that controversy which would have brought a ton of money to the rematch.

now especially with judah being 147 champ

all tszyu talked about before the spinks-judah rematch was that after he beat hatton he wanted to go and fight spinks at 147.

when judah beat spinks he didnt mention it again, and started saying "i cant look past ricky hatton" and wouldnt even mention zabs name

do with that what you want to

You have a point about the round coming to an end, that's true. However, a few people said about that rule of thumb. It's not an official rule, but it's still out there. As for the rematch, I would love to see it. I truly hope that Kostya will fight Judah, I think that it would be one of the most anticipated fights out there right now. Unfortunately Kostya is not sure if he will fight again. I think it would be especially hard for him to risk it all on young, strong, and very self assured Judah. It's one of those Klitschko vs. Lewis things - we will never know until we see it.

The ref had to make a quick decision. Judah got hit with a huge right, crumbled, got up, stumbled halfway across the ring and crumbled. Any sane person would have stopped that fight, pure and simple.

        Arguement over.

We need to ask ourselves a question. How many times in recent
boxing history has a ref let a fight continue where a fighter was dropped and LOOKED that bad? Regardless of what condition he was really in, he LOOKED ****ing terrible. What if he had let it continue, and the next round he gets caught again, and goes into a coma? Can you imagine what kind of **** Nady would have been in for allowing a fight to continue as bad as Judah looked? Max Kellerman said basically the same thing, "The ref should have let him fall, started the count, and if he got back to his feet, and then fell, restart the count".......BULL****!
If a ref does some **** like that, he is basically begging for someone to be killed.
It's the ref's reponsibility to protect the fighters' health, and if he had let it go on, he wouldn't have been doing that, and it would have been his ass.

i like zab, but that is perhaps the most entertaining and comical thing i have ever witnessed in boxing....just classic.
the ref should have stopped the fight...anyone would of in his situation

also, if u watch the video, judah is jabbering to the ref after he called the fight when he gets up the second time. it is pretty clear he doesnt know where he is or whats going on, so the fight would have been stopped then as well

Ive seen this fight so many times but every time i see that clip, I laugh hard, i sometimes show the clip 10 seconds before Zabs KO to my 4 year old nephew and he laughs like crazy.

I thought this was a real chicken dance but it was just one of the the GREATEST KOs EVER

if you fools would time it you would see that at the count of what would have been 8-9 zab was ready to go and steady on his legs.

WATCH THE TYSON-BERBICK FIGHT WHERE BERBICK FALLS 3 TIMES AND MILLS LANE CONTINUES TO COUNT, BECAUSE HES TRYING TO GET UP AND HE MIGHT BEAT THE TEN COUNT.

DAMN I CANT WAIT TIL ZAB BEATS TSZYU IN THEIR REMATCH WHEN THAT ***** ZOO GETS SOME BALLS. I THINK HE WILL EVENTUALLY FOR THE MONEY AND UNDISPUTED TITLES AT A NEW WEIGHT.

I SWEAR I WILL BET EVERY SINGLE POINT I HAVE ON JUDAH BEATING HIM BY TKO/KO BEFORE 6.

                      IT WILL HAPPEN

JUDAH WILL DESTROY THIS GUY, IT WILL BE A REPEAT OF JONES-GRIFFIN 2, MAYBE NOT ONE PUNCH BUT HE WILL GET HIM IN THE FIRST.

BUT I HOPE TSZYU GETS A TUNE UP AGAINST SOMEONE AT 147 AND KTFO OF THEM SO EVERYONE CAN SEE HES AT HIS BEST AND THAT HIS POWER HAS STAYED THE SAME OR INCREASED.

SO WHEN ZAB BEATS HIS ASS YOU CANT MAKE EXCUSES, "like he was old", "he would ktfo of zab if he was in his prime"
                      Hey idiot...

Was Castillo Ever Down? I mean did he ever touch the canvas? NO!

But look how many TKO's he has... And forget the fact that Judah went down twice from one shot, Castillo was never down against Corrales and the ref stopped the fight. It was a good stoppage!
