No Pacquiao - Mayweather this year

Arum makes fights for Pacquiao even before his next fight is over. Then people wonder why Mayweather-Pacquiao has not happened yet, and other people outright blame Mayweather. It's clearly all Arum's fault. The Clottey fight, the Margarito fight, and the Mosley fight, were all scheduled before the next fight was over.

Mayweather/Haymon are there to be contacted by Bob Arum[not a Top Rank representative or Ross Greenburg], and make the fight happen. Just agree to his sole demand of random blood tests, just like he agreed to the silly demands of $10mill over each pound above 147, he agreed to 50-50 split, he agreed to 8oz gloves. Although in WW 8oz is the size that can be used, it's not obligated if the other fighter doesn't want to, it's actually 10oz all the way down to 135[in Nevada, and only 8oz if both camps agree], Pacquiao requested 8oz gloves but Mayweather could have pulled a Pacquiao and easily made the negotiations tough and disagree with 8oz gloves. So in WW: 8oz gloves only if both camps agree on it. Mayweather agreed to 3 out of 3 of Pacquiao's requests. Pacquiao did not agree to Mayweather's only request.

I don't see Mayweather agreeing to fight in Singapore, fighting an Asian fighter on Asian turf[we saw what happened in Indonesia Marquez vs John]. Mayweather-Pacquiao is not gonna happen this year. Seeing Pacquiao's opponents lately, I think he'll fight the loser of a fight this year. Maybe Alexander, maybe the loser of Mayorga-Cotto, maybe the winner of Judah-Mabuza or who knows maybe even Tim Bradley if he goes to Top Rank.

The fight will most likely either be Pacquiao-Cotto2, Pacquiao-Mayorga or Pacquiao-Bradley. And I heard Arum was talking to Hearns about a comeback fight.

Some of the posters on this website use the worst logic. If a fight in Singapore happens; it means that there will be a good opponent. Arum will reach a large GUARANTEED deal with the group he is dealing with, thus he will be able to offer GUARANTEED money to an opponent. Arum isn't bringing a fight to Singapore without some serious money changing hands.

I am confident that a fighter like Andre Berto would be happy to fight in Singapore for a large guaranteed purse.

There is only one fighter in the game that would not take a fight with Pacquiao in Singapore, and we all know who that is.

Please. You are falsely assuming that all, or even most, fighters fight for some sort of glory. Prizesfighters fight for money, and losing to Pacquiao would not hurt ANY fighter in the future financially. You have cited TWO incidents out of thousands of fights where a fighter got "robbed" by the judges. Conratulations. Again, any fighter would take a large guaranteed purse to fight one of the top fighters; even in Singapore (by the way, your ignorance in regards to Singapore is appalling).

A fight in Singapore would be great! Manny could definitely draw them in regionally. Singapore has about 5 million people but fans from neighboring countries would help boost sales for sure. Plus Singapore's infrastructure and facilities are just as good as, if not better than what Vegas has to offer.

But I just can't see Floyd fighting in S'pore. Bradley would do it. Berto too.
