    Comments Thread For: Khan vs Peterson is Being Worked Out, Says Roach

    BoxingScene.com was advised that a deal is being worked out for a potential fight between WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan (24-1, 17 KOs) and top contender Lamont Peterson (28-1-1, 14 KOs). Khan's trainer, Freddie Roach, confirmed the details. The bout would happen on April 16 at the MEN Arena in Manchester, England. HBO will televise the fight.

      this is a worthy fight for khan, not at all easy but he should be able to win. interesting test to see where he is at in comparison to bradley whom battered peterson imo.

          I agree. Now if we could get Bradley vs Maidana in May or so, then we could really rate the two in comparision to each other.

              khan has to actually fight bradley in order to rate him over bradley....regardless. but if u are to take anything from these fights in comparison.....

                  I don't rate him over Bradley. And I don't believe in triangle theories either, but it's impossible not to compair their performances against the same fighters. Even if you don't do it in a triangle theory kind of way, you can still examine the skills they use. And Lamont may be more versatile than Alexander.

                    imo the only reason lamont is ranked worse than alexander and viewed as a fringe contender in comparison is because he lost to bradley first.
