Like Roger I think the future of boxing is not looking too good. Nowadays fans want to see all action and don't care about art in boxing. Guys like Pac make a killing cause they're all action and no skills. Tim "Headbutt" Bradley is becoming a star cause he's all action. What about the Boxing in these boxing fights? It's kinda like "Test Cricket" and "Pro20" the guys with skillz play Test and the sluggers play "Pro20". We need a balance in these fights - guys like Cotto, Mike Jones, Amir Khan, Larmont Peterson, JMM...at least give that balance.
Paquiao has "no skills" ? man GTFOH !. . just because a guy throws mad flurries doesnt mean he cant box, pac has outstanding footwork, head movement, knows how to cut off the ring, use a jab, feint, all that "boxing" ****, u wouldve made sense if u were to refer to Ricardo Mayorga but not Manny, he could box AND brawl. ... and Tim Bradley last fight vs Alexander was boring as **** , i saw no action. . . and why is the future of boxing "not lookin too good" ? the 140 and 147 lb division all u need to know about, that looks good to me.

the mayweathers talked about God lots of times they talk about the gift from God and what not, they should also thank God the gift of smearing someone, tarnishing someones rep, badmouthing and heaping all kinds of crap on someone they scared to fight. bunch of hypocrite, lowlife, ignorant, ugly crackheads and america is so proud of this dirt in boxing, boxing scribes can't live without writing about this family of thrash that pervades boxing.

Well, there is no " opinion ", the facts themselves are quite clear.

145 = Hoya two weeks before the fight
        145 = Hoya at weigh-in
        145 = Hoya on fight-night

        What happened is crystal clear.

Oscar was a drained, shrink-wrapped, shell of his former self.

        What happened with Oscar's preparation?

I have absolutely no idea, that was truly bizarre.

Oscar should have been 150 just prior to the fight.

But it is the equivalent of watching two sluggers wail away at each other.

No hardcore cricket fan is gonna get off on 20/20.

It's just slap n' tickle, like Pac's fights.

            Agreed, great post.

And it is simply wrong that Pac insisted Mosley take the tests but would not take them himself

Remember this was the last time pac lost so why repeat something during his biggest fight of all.
Was Manny weakened by blood loss ?

Or was he weakened because he couldn't juice ?

A couple of teaspoons of blood bro, really ?

You would lose much more blood just from a simple nose-bleed.

And Manny wanted Mosley to submit to RBT's, but would not agree himself?

                Something aint right there.

It is " official " if both parties participate, like happened in Dec 2009.

6 people, belonging to 3 completely different business organisations, each of those people having first-hand information - 4 of whom would be ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL to that fight being made - ALL, categorically stated that..... "there were no official negotiations" !!

                  And, Bob Arum lied.....

A "deadline" that Arum negotiated with GBP is about to expire.....

The very next day, Arum is forced to admit that he never even spoke with GBP....

Bob Arum publicly stated that he was working on a proposal to forward to GBP. It took nearly THREE WEEKS to get that proposal together - WTF? And when Arum eventually stated through the media that he had forwarded the proposal to GBP, he immediately slapped a two week deadline on the offer.

                  That's it !!

No meetings, no talks, no agreements, no contracts, no deals, NOTHING..... and no offer of negotiation.

Who the hell makes a ****ty offer that has already been rejected, and leaves no room at all for any kind of negotiation? That's not really how they did things the first time around. Come to think of it, I have never actually heard of a high-profile fight being made like that

It actually sounds ridiculous if you think about it.

And the mediator that TR/GBP used last time walked both parties through the process, Greenburg was just an errand boy with a ****ty offer that Arum knew would be rejected. Just like it states here.....

Exact same muscle mass and conditioning, but a lot less water at the 129 weigh in.

                    His point is legit.
                    Rubbish !!

The only fighter that I have EVER HEARD making similar weigh-in comparisons..... was drained, shot, shrink-wrapped Hoya.

That was a ***-up bro, not intentional

Name one other example...... waiting !!

FACT: When the weigh-in limit is 130, you are restricted to 130lbs muscle, not 140, so stop being dishonest.

A guy who weighs-in at 130lb and rehydrates to 144, is at a significant disadvantage to the guy that weighed in at 140 - cut - and rehydrated to 144 or close.

It's a fkn blood-test you clown, not a blood donating party

They take a fraction of the blood that ANY fighter would lose when they get a broken nose.
